The Southwestern Maine Activities Association recently announced it’s awards for the 2017-18 high school girls basketball season.
A handful of York County standouts were recognized, including Biddeford’s Gracie Martin who took home the top honor as the Class A Player of the Year. Martin was also named to the Class A first team.
Along with Martin on the Class A first team was Kennebunk’s Emily Archibald, who was also named to the All-Rookie Team. Kennebunk’s Jessica Dupler was an Honorable Mention for Class A, while Martin was also a member of the All-Defensive Team.
Thornton Academy’s Alex Hart was named to the Class AA first team, while Massabesic’s McKenzy Ouellette made the second team.
