FREEPORT
Work from members of the Art Guild of Freeport is featured in an exhibition at Freeport Community Library during February.
In existence for more than 40 years, the Art Guild of Freeport is comprised of both emerging and established artists who primarily work with oil and watercolors to create both abstract and traditional scenes.
Guild members, who live in the greater Portland area, have joined together to learn from each other and experience the joy of sharing their passion with other like-minded individuals. They exhibit at several group shows annually, including Bonobo in Portland, Art in the Park in South Portland, and Freeport Community Library each February.
Members also show individually at several other venues across Maine. Members showing in the library’s exhibit include Debra Serino and Caroline Payne of Yarmouth; Christy DeVeault, Shelly Bretton, Janet Lawrence and Gail Morgan of Freeport; and Lisa French of South Portland.
The Art Guild of Freeport is open to accepting new members skilled in other mediums as well. If interested, please contact DeVeault at christydeveault@gmail.com.
