WATERBORO — The Biddeford boys basketball team held on in the fourth quarter to beat host Massabesic 51-45 on Friday night.
Jackson Oloya had a big game for Biddeford, finishing with a game-high 19 points while going 4-for-4 from 3-point range. Cody Saucier added 11 points while Kyle Norton chipped in seven and DeSean Cromwell six.
Isaac DesVergnes led the Mustangs with 14 points while Alex Schepis added 10. Owen Roberts and Jack St. Laurent each scored six points in the loss, and Ethan Roy hauled in 13 rebounds for the Mustangs.
Wells 52, Cape Elizabeth 47
The Warriors held off a late fourth quarter rally by the Capers to win on Friday.
Matt Sherburne and Cam Cousins each scored 17 points while Tyler Bridge added 10.
Girls Basketball
Windham 31, Thornton Academy 18
Windham shut down the Trojans to pick up a win on Friday night.
Alex Hart led TA with 10 points while Hannah Talon led Windham with 12.
Marshwood 48, Sanford 46
The Hawks would come from behind in the fourth quarter to top Sanford on Friday.
Paige Cote led Sanford with 19 points while Molly Boissonneault added nine and Julia Allen eight.
Kennebunk 53, Westbrook, 30
The Rams cruised to a big win over the Blue Blazes on Friday.
Alaina Schatzabel and Jessica Dupler scored 12 points for the Rams while Emily Archibald and Alexandra Weischeit added 11 each.
Deering 47, Noble 37
Raegen Kelly led the Knights with 15 points in their loss to Deering on Friday. Amy Fleming scored eight points.
Old Orchard Beach 54, Waynflete 26
The Lady Gulls used a 17-2 run early in the game to top Waynflete on Friday.
Bri Plante led the way with 13 points and six assists while Meg Niedzwiecki added 12 points and seven rebounds.
OOB imrpoves to 13-3 on the year.
