F ‘Frank’ Daly

A man was arrested Saturday morning and charged with murder in connection with the shooting death of a Bangor man this month.

Bangor police arrested F “Frank” Daly, 29, who is originally from Boston but who recently has been living in Bangor, WCSH-TV reported.

Israel Lewis, 51, was found dead Jan. 10 inside his room at 40 Second St. in Bangor after his girlfriend called 911 around 9:45 a.m., The Associated Press reported.

Bangor police Lt. Tim Cotton said an autopsy conducted by Maine’s chief medical examiner concluded Lewis had died of two gunshot wounds, according to the AP.

Daly was arrested by the Bangor Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division and the Special Response Team. He is being held at the Penobscot County Jail.
