Scarborough’s Owen Garrard was named the 47th winner of the James J. Fitzpatrick Trophy, given to the state’s finest high school football player, Sunday, capping a magical season which saw him lead the Red Storm to their first Class A state title. Garrard, a running back and linebacker, rushed for 1,204 yards and scored 24 touchdowns. He scored five times in the state final.
