Starting Jan. 9, an eight-week painting workshop will take place at the gallery of Sarah Greenier.
The Bath artist will be teaching the workshop from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesdays, at her 428 Middle St. gallery. The sessions are open to people with varying levels of experience.
She will start each class with a painting demonstration, along with instruction in design, color, shapes and values, tailored to each individual student. Students will paint from photographs as well as still life.
Greenier, who lives in Bath, grew up on O.Hrr’s Island, Maine and studied art at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. She is an award-winning oil painter, and has shown her work throughout Maine and New England. She currently exhibits at Greenier Studio/Gallery, as well as Small Wonder Gallery in Camden & Boothbay Region Art Foundation.The cost of the eight-week session is $235.
