OLD ORCHARD BEACH — Jacqueline Turcotte Paradis, 74, of Old Orchard Beach, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017, at Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford.

She was born in Biddeford on March 11, 1943, a daughter of Alphonse and Blanche (Jacques) Turcotte. She was educated from St. Andre’s School and later graduated from Biddeford High School.

Jacqueline married her husband Robert on July 16, 1966.

She was employed by Nike and Lyn–Flex and later by Pratt & Whitney for 25 years, retiring as a supervisor in 2006.

Jacqueline was a member of the Red Hat Society and 50 Plus Club. She volunteered for the Relay for Life, an organization that held events to help raise funds for communities across the globe to fight against cancer.

Her hobby was playing facebook games. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Through her life, the family was able to create wonderful memories that will remain in their hearts forever. She will be greatly missed.

She was predeceased by her husband Robert on Oct. 22, 2007 and by one sister Sue Gagnon in 2006.

She is survived by two daughters Kimberly Welch and her husband Travis and Melissa Smith and her husband Bobby and seven grandchildren Kassandra Kelly, Kristina Welch and her husband Ryan, Devyn Smith, Erin Smith, Jordan Welch, Tyler Welch and Caleb Welch and two great grandsons Izaiah and Jaxon. She is also survived by two sisters Judith Cadorette and her husband Ray and Sandy McKenney and her husband Bob and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 7, 2017, at Cote Funeral Home Chapel, 87 James St., Saco.
