DAMARISCOTTA — River Arts in Damariscotta is inviting Maine artists to submit artwork for jurying in its upcoming exhibition, Black & White. Artists can submit up to three works in any medium including sculpture, photography, collage, painting, ceramics and fine craft — representational or abstract. Work can be delivered anytime during gallery hours until the deadline, which is Saturday, Jan. 6 at 4 p.m. An opening reception will be held from 5-7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 12 5-7 pm.

Artists may submit up to three works for an entry fee of $15 for members and $20 for nonmembers. Artists will be notified by email or phone of the juror’s decision. Submissions may not have been shown at River Arts previously. Entry forms are available online at riverartsme.org and at the gallery, at 241 U.S. Route 1 in Damariscotta, when submitting.

Juror for the exhibition will be retired school teacher Bruce Brown, curator of CMCA (formerly Maine Coast Artists) from 1987 to 2006.
