OLD OCRHARD BEACH — Rose M. Kavanaugh, 93, of Old Orchard Beach, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017, at St. Andre’s Healthcare Center in Biddeford.
She was born in Boston, Massachusetts on June 1, 1924, a daughter of Lionel and Laura (Frechette) LaValle.
Rose owned and operated R J Beauty Salon in Largo, Florida for 30 years. She moved to Old Orchard Beach in 2005 to be with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband Ralph G. Kavanaugh on May 9, 2011 and by her son Walter Hirst on April 15, 2008 and by one sister Jeanette.
She is survived by three sons Kenneth Hirst, Randy Hirst and Edward Hirst and his wife Pam; one brother Albert LaValle; two daughters Roseanne McCarthy and her husband Terry and Kathleen Binette. She is also survived by many grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
