BRUNSWICK — The time has come for students wishing to be a part of the Bowdoin International Music Festival.

The festival, one of the world’s premiere music institutes, is now accepting applications for the 2018 summer season. Festival students are defined by dedication, creativity, curiosity, and passion for excellence in music. In no time at all, more than 250 students from around the globe will be selected to participate in the Festival’s 54th season.

Particpants’ experience consists of many opportunities, including lessons, coaching, studio classes, master classes, seminars, solo and chamber performances, concerts, community engagement and ample practice time. A tremendous roster of artist faculty and guest quartets has been assembled for the upcoming season.

More than 65 percent of all participants will receive financial assistance to attend, and all Fellows will receive full tuition, room and board. The Fellowship Program is a fully-funded opportunity for the most advanced musicians at the beginning of significant careers in music. The program offers the full resources of the internationally-renowned faculty for an intensive exploration of solo and chamber repertoire.

A summer at the Festival surrounds students with like-minded peers while offering opportunities to realize their passions and prepare for meaningful lives in art.
