After a recent election that included failed but strongly supported zoning and rent stabilization questions, as well as Gov. LePage’s veto of the most recent version of the legislature’s recreational marijuana rules, Maine residents are still anticipating (or delaying) significant changes to the commercial real estate market. How could new laws and regulations affect investment in growing industries such as hospitality, brewing, shipping, and of course, commercial cannabis products? What will the impact be on property rents, leases and sale prices? This forum, moderated by business reporter J. Craig Anderson, will anticipate outcomes and explore opportunities with a panel of developers, regulators, and business owners.
This free, live event offers the opportunity for you to join in the conversation while connecting with people in the Greater Portland business community, and enjoy complimentary coffee and light breakfast.
Doors open at 7:15 a.m. Program begins at 7:45 and ends at 9:00.
