Ilyas Abdi had a goal and two assists Saturday to lead Waynflete to a 5-0 victory against Wells in a Western Maine Conference boys’ soccer game.
Abdi opened the scoring six minutes into the game, then set up Oliver Burdick 13 minutes later as Waynflete (9-2-2) moved into a 2-0 halftime lead.
Thorne Keiffer scored from Abdi early in the second half, and Aidan Kieffer and Abdi Mohamed added goals.
Eric Sousa stopped 15 shots for Wells (6-6-1). Max Winson had four saves for the Flyers.
GREELY 7, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 1: Hazael Tshituka had a pair of first-half goals to propel the Rangers (7-5-1) to a 3-0 halftime lead against the Panthers (3-9-1) at Yarmouth.
Evan Wyman led Greely with three goals. Brendan Carrell and Andy Moore also scored.
Xander Kostlnik converted a free kick for NYA in the second half.
YARMOUTH 2, CAPE ELIZABETH 1: Luke Groothoff scored his second goal of the game off a corner kick by Jason Lainey with five minutes remaining, lifting the Clippers (13-0) over the Capers (8-4-1) at Cape Elizabeth.
Groothoff opened the scoring midway through the first half, with an assist from Eric LaBrie. John O’Connor tied it with a penalty kick early in the second half after a handball in the penalty box.
SACOPEE VALLEY 3, ST. DOMINIC 1: Michael Murphy scored the tying and go-ahead goals as the Hawks (3-10-1) rose above a 1-0 halftime deficit to beat St. Dominic (3-10) at South Hiram.
Kris Fossum added the final goal off Macaleb Reinhard’s second assist. Jake Adams also had an assist for Sacopee.
Alex Roy scored for the Saints.
Matt Day finished with seven saves for Sacopee. Bryton Kieltyka and Matt Gosselin combined for six saves for St. Dom’s.
