BRUNSWICK
The Brunswick Downtown Association will present the BDA Fall Speaker Series featuring Bill Green on Sept. 28, in the sanctuary of First Parish Church, 9 Cleveland St., Brunswick. The public is invited to attend.
Bill Green, also known as “Maine’s Community Anchor,” has worked in the television industry for four decades. He worked as a sportscaster on WLBZ 2 for 28 years and left the anchor desk in 1993 to produce feature stories and documentaries. Join the BDA to hear highlights from his 15 years of filming “Bill Green’s Maine.” Green will speak for 25 minutes and then take questions from the audience.
“The BDA is excited to welcome Bill Green to Brunswick because he has discovered so many aspects of Maine, so many people, places, events, historical and otherwise, including many unique products that we make or made, and such a variety of angles that demonstrate Maine life. More so than anyone imaginable,” said David Knight, BDA speaker committee chairman.
Registration and a continental breakfast will open at 7 a.m. The program will begin at 7:40 a.m. and conclude at 9 a.m. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged.
The cost for the event is $10 per person. Payments can be processed online at conta.cc/2woI0VZ or mailed to the BDA, PO Box 15, Brunswick, ME 04011. For more information, visit brunswickdowntown.org or call (207) 729-4439.
