OLD ORCHARD BEACH — The Old Orchard Beach football team improved to 2-1 on the season with a 30-13 win over visiting Oak Hill on Friday night.
The Seagulls jumped out to an 8-0 lead after the opening quarter and held a 16-6 advantage at halftime.
OOB, which led 22-6 after three quarters, got a big night from quarterback Dylan Boudreau. The senior signal caller tossed a pair of touchdowns to Cody Blanchette and also had two rushing scores.
The Seagulls will visit Poland next week.
WELLS 14, CAPE ELIZABETH 7
WELLS — The Wells Warriors scored a touchdown with 7 minutes left in the third quarter to break a 7-7 tie and they would hold on from there to improve to 3-0.
Michael Wrigley got the Warriors on the board with a 6-yard rushing touchdown late in the first.
Cape Elizabeth responded with a touchdown with just 52 seconds left in the first half.
The game-winner would come from Tyler Bridge, who scored on a 2-yard run in the middle of the third quarter. Matt Tufts added his second extra point to make it 14-7.
Wrigley would come up big on defense as well as the senior picked off a Cape Elizabeth pass with under a minute left to seal the victory.
Wells will host Madison/Carrabec next week.
