This six-foot by five-foot mural was commissioned to celebrate the 300th anniversary of First Parish Church.
This last spring, Worthington met with the children in church school to generate ideas that would celebrate the place in which we live. The children, then, created individual border squares which Catherine incorporated into her original painted and stitched art work.
The congregation has commissioned several liturgical art pieces from Catherine over the last several years.
“Catherine is a creative and collaborative person. Her art and her presence among us has greatly enriched our spiritual journey,” Senior Pastor Rev. Mary E. Baard said. “It has been a delight to work with her.”
