STANDISH — Connor Sirois threw three touchdown passes, including a pair to Kordell Menard, to lead Bonny Eagle to a 48-0 win over Sanford in a Class A South season opener Friday night.

Alex Sprague had touchdown runs of 3 and 45 yards, and Zach Maturo broke free for a 70-yard run late in the fourth quarter for the defending Class A state champions.

KENNEBUNK 26, GREELY 0: Tripp Bush passed for two touchdowns to lead the Rams over the Rangers in Kennebunk.

Cam Lovejoy and Jake Littlefield each rushed for a touchdown in the first quarter, and Bryan Hickey caught a 24-yard pass from Bush to give Kennebunk a 19-0 halftime lead.

Bush added a 17-yard touchdown to Zack Sullivan in the fourth quarter.

THORNTON ACADEMY 48, MASSABESIC 6: Owen Roberts returned the opening kickoff 88 yards for Massabesic, but the Golden Trojans took control from that point and rolled past the Mustangs in Waterboro.

Will Mitchell threw two second-quarter touchdown passes to Anthony Bracamonte and scored on a 1-yard run in the fourth quarter. Bracamonte also had a 9-yard TD run, and Cameron Houde rushed for two touchdowns.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 40, LAKE REGION 6: Jared Chisari rushed for four touchdowns as the Raiders scored 40 points in the first half and cruised to a Class C South victory in Fryeburg.

Oscar Saunders’ 33-yard pass to Cody Gullikson opened the scoring. After scoring runs of 12 and 2 yards by Chisari later in the first quarter, Saunders ran it in from the 13 early in the second to make it 26-0.

Chisari added touchdown runs of 6 and 9 yards. Eddie Thurston kicked four extra points.

Lake Region got a 4-yard touchdown run from Brent Massey in the fourth quarter.

MT. ARARAT 14, GORHAM 13: Ryan Mello caught a touchdown pass and returned a punt 57 yards for a touchdown as the Eagles edged the Rams in Topsham.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 28, FREEPORT 8: Cody Blanchette ran for two touchdowns and a conversion, and Dylan Boudreau passed for one TD and rushed for another to lead the Seagulls over the Falcons in Old Orchard Beach.

Zach Brasier was on the receiving end of Boudreau’s 35-yard scoring pass.

OCEANSIDE 38, MCI 14: Michael Norton returned the opening kickoff for a 72-yard touchdown and added three more TDs as the Mariners beat the Huskies in Rockland.

Norton had touchdown runs of 58 and 46 yards and caught a 74-yard TD pass from Titus Kaewthong.

MARANACOOK 21, CAMDEN HILLS 0: Garit Laliberte ran for a pair of touchdowns to lead the Black Bears over the Windjammers in a Class E game in Readfield.

Laliberte scored in the first quarter to make it 7-0, then reached the end zone again for the final touchdown in the fourth quarter.

Dakota DeMott added a touchdown run in the first quarter.

OAK HILL 28, POLAND 14: Cruz Poirier ran for a pair of touchdowns and freshman Gavin Rawstron threw for two scores as the Raiders won a Class D South game in Poland.

Poirier ran for 155 yards, and Rawstron was 13 of 17 for 181 yards.
