BIDDEFORD — Mark Allen Daniel, age 44 of Biddeford, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2017 in Biddeford.
Mark was born in Amarillo, Texas on Aug. 30, 1972, a son of Charles R. and Julia E. (Keenan) Daniel. He attended Amarillo schools and Amarillo High School. He was a graduate of Oxford Hills High School.
For most of his life, Mark worked as a prep cook in local restaurants performing all kitchen trades, and had also worked as a tree climber for an arborist. In addition, Mark was a tattoo artist and a sketch artist. He enjoyed anime movies, was an avid reader and book collector, and an avid Red Sox fan. He also liked studying history of anything to do with Southeast Asia.
He lived in Old Orchard Beach for the last 1 ½ years moving there from Biddeford.
Surviving are: his fiancé, Karen Cesare of Old Orchard Beach; and her children whom he thought of as his own, Kristopher Daniels, Kimberly Rockwell, and their children; his mother and stepfather, Julia and Dan Haverinen of South Paris; his father, Charles Ray Daniel of Amarillo, Texas, two brothers, Matthew Daniel of Prescott, Arizona, and Samuel Haverinen and his wife, Michelle of South Paris; two nephews, Luc and Ian Daniel, both of Prescott, Arizona; and several aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him dearly.
The family will receive friends for 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 14, at the Chandler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 45 Main St., South Paris. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15, at the West Paris Mission Congregational Church. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations in Mark’s memory be made to Alliance for Addiction and Mental Health Services, Maine, 295 Water St. #200, Augusta, ME 04330.
