FREEPORT — The Camp Sunshine Watermelon Festival will take place Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Freeport. More than 2,000 watermelons will be at LL.Bean’s flagship campus. There will be watermelon themed activities, kids games, live family entertainment and watermelon treats. The events supports Camp Sunshine, which is to provide respite, recreation and support for children with lifethreatening illnesses and their families.
