BRUNSWICK — “Prints, Poems, and Prayer Flags: Celebrating Life Together” is the current show in the Morrell Meeting room at Curtis Memorial Library in Brunswick. Nancy Marstaller fills the room with prints, drawings, paintings, collage, and prayer flags. Scattered among the art are poems that inspired her.
Marstaller started making prayer flags several years ago, as a way to symbolize sending positive energy into the world. Being a poetry lover, she wanted to collaborate with poets to celebrate both the natural world. She was pleased that so many poets were willing to share time and inspiration with her.
The poets are Peter Crysdale, Gary Lawless, Noma Petroff, Stephen Petroff, Georgia Sassen, Pam Smith, Ethan Stebbins, and Dwight Wilson. The show runs until July 31, and is open during normal library hours and the 2nd Friday Art Walk.
