A Waterboro man was arrested after he assaulted two men and stabbed another at a party at a Waterboro home Friday night, York County Sheriff William King said Saturday.
King said in a statement that deputies were called to a party at a home on Landry Road about 10:45 p.m.
The deputies determined that Vincent Cole, 26, had assaulted the homeowner and another man with an aluminum pipe after he was asked to leave, according to King.
Cole then stabbed a resident of a nearby house who arrived at the scene after hearing a commotion and women screaming, the sheriff said. Cole fled but deputies were able to stop him. He was charged with one count of elevated aggravated assault and two counts of aggravated assault. He is being held at the York County Jail on $5,000 bail and scheduled for a court appearance Monday.
The stabbing victim was in stable condition Saturday at Maine Medical Center in Portland. The other two assault victims were treated at the scene for their injuries.
