SACO — Elizabeth” Betty” Langewisch, 99, the last of the Brock Clan, passed away Monday, July 3, 2017, at the Seal Rock Healthcare facility. 

She was born in Beverly, Massachusetts, on April 10, 1918, the daughter of Louis and Alice Peterson Brock.

Her family moved to Maine and she graduated from Thornton Academy in 1936. Betty worked as a salesperson for Real Silk in Indianapolis and then moved from New York to Maine in the late 1970s.

Betty was a former member of Christ Episcopal Church in Biddeford and a volunteer for the Hospice of Southern Maine Bookstore.

She is preceded in death by her husband Harry Langewisch in 2008, and a daughter Mildred Cade in 1966.

She is survived by: a son, Ronald Cade of Menifee, California; two grandchildren, Casandra Cade Bullock and Courtney Cade Gibby; and three great-grandchildren, Jocelyn, Delilah and Cade Gibby.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday Aug. 10, 2017, at the Trinity Episcopal Church, Cleveland Street, Saco. Father David Robinson will officiate. Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery to the Brock Lot, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband Harry.
