LISBON

Positive Change Lisbon has announced the 9th annual Lisbon Concerts in the Park Series. Each concert is held on a Sunday night at The Pavilion at Marion T. Morse Park, 18 School St., Lisbon, from 5:30-7 p.m. This year’s series will include food vendors at each concert.

The 2017 lineup includes the bands on the following pages.

July 8 (Saturday show) at 6 p.m.

Lynyrd Skynyrd Tribute band – Vyntyge Skynyrd

Vyntyge Skynyrd celebrates Ronnie Van Zant’s Lynyrd Skynyrd by replicating their music as it was originally recorded and performed.

July 16 at 5:30 p.m.

The Brian Patricks Project

The Brian Patricks Project delivers acoustic arrangements of classic roots, rock and blues from yesterday to today. Along with a few originals, the audience will hear covers from James Taylor, John Prine, Bruno Mars, Goo Goo Dolls, Mark Knopfler, Santana and more.

July 23 at 5:30 p.m.

Kirsten Thien

Kirsten Thien’s path from a Georgetown University Business School graduate to blues and roots rock singer/songwriter began when, just weeks before graduation, she decided to forgo life on Wall Street for a career in music. Since then she has released three full-length albums, toured the U.S. extensively, opened for Dickey Betts, Shawn Colvin and Buddy Guy and headlined two European tours. Kirsten’s release, “Delicious,” featured blues guitar legend Hubert Sumlin and has received acclaim from Guitar Player Magazine, Downbeat, and Keyboard Magazine. New York DJ Pat St. John exclaimed on-air at B.B. King’s Bluesville that “the album is flawless. She’s gonna be a big, big star.”

The Ricki George Project

The Ricki George Project is a group made up of members that cover all walks of musical life. Lead by founder and front man Ricki George, this group is focused with a dogged determination to use their musical platform to speak for those that can’t speak for themselves.

Saco River Jazz Ensemble

Saco River Jazz Ensemble is a nonprofit community big band ensemble that is based in the Buxton/Hollis area. They aim to provide purpose-driven entertainment for seniors, especially those with Alzheimer’s and other dementia diseases Saco River Jazz Ensemble plays music from the big band era of the ’30s, ’40s, and ’50s, featuring music from Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Tommy Dorsey, Stan Kenton, Woody Herman and many others.

Aug. 13 at 5:30 p.m.

Catie Curtis

Catie Curtis’ career spans 14 albums, songs featured on TV shows “Dawson’s Creek,” “Chicago Hope” and “Felicity” as well as movies like “Finding Graceland” and “A Slipping Down Life.” For more than 20 years, she’s been a perennially popular headliner, appearing at performing arts centers, concert halls, folk clubs, music festivals, Lilith Fair, Carnegie Hall and the White House.

Pejepscot Station

Pejepscot Station is a Bluegrass band out of Topsham featuring Jim McLaughlin on mandolin and fiddle, Stephen “Satch” Hatch on guitar, Cherie “Peachblossom” Howard on bass and Ren Bernier on banjo. Vocals are shared by all.

The band’s repertoire is a mix of traditional and contemporary bluegrass with a few little surprises thrown in.

Aug. 27 at 5:30 p.m.

’80s Cover band – theGe3ks

TheGE3Ks are a New England ’80s cover band. High energy, interactive, theatrical and danceable — the best ’80s songs are represented each and every show, from Bryan Adams to ZZ Top, with lots of surprises along the way.
