THE GAMPER FESTIVAL OF CONTEMPORARY MUSIC will present the music of our time on July 27, 29 and 30 at 7:30 p.m. in Studzinski Recital Hall. Over its history, the Gamper Festival has celebrated many of the most significant composers such as Milton Babbitt, Luciano Berio, William Bolcom, John Corigliano, George Crumb, and Ralph Shapey as well as new voices at the start of their careers.
Each summer, the Bowdoin International Music Festival brings artist instructors, performers, soloists and pre-professional classical musicians from around the world to Bowdoin College in Brunswick for six weeks of intensive chamber music study, collaboration and performance. Musicians present more than 100 concerts and public educational events each season.
The following is a list of free events.
1. YOUNG ARTIST CONCERTS: The Young Artists Series presents performances in Studzinski Recital Hall by advanced young musicians who come to the festival from conservatories and music schools in more than 25 countries.
2. LIVE STREAMING: With the introduction of #festivaLive, audiences can now live stream festival events on any internet-connected device. Viewers across the globe will join Studzinski audiences to witness performances and Festival Insight lectures.

These artists will discuss aspects of their music and inspirations for 90 minutes and then accept questions from the audience.
