FALMOUTH
St Mary Schola will perform their annual Spring concert, A Musical Banquet, on Saturday, June 10 at 7:30 p.m. at the Episcopal Church of Saint Mary, Falmouth, Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 7:30 PM at the Cathedral Church of Saint Luke in Portland and Friday, June 16 at 7:30 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Portland, Maine.
Schola will also perform this concert at First Church of Christ Congregational, North Conway, New Hampshire, presented by the White Mountain Musical Arts at 4 p.m. June 11.
A Musical Banquet is presented by an ensemble of solo singers and instrumentalists that include period instruments such as baroque violin, recorder, lute, theorbo and harpsichord.
A Musical Banquet presents various styles, including Elizabethan madrigals, Dowland’s lute songs, French airs de cour, a ballo by Monteverdi and excerpts from Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice.
