WINDHAM — Alex Morang and Lauren Talbot each had three hits and three RBI, and the Windham softball team scored two runs in the ninth inning and held on to beat Massabesic 11-10 on Monday.
Windham (5-0) scored twice in the seventh inning to take a 7-6 lead. Massabesic (4-1) answered with a run in the bottom of the inning to force extra innings, then both teams scored twice in the eighth. The Eagles regained the lead in the ninth, and the Mustangs managed just one run in the bottom half.
Katelyn Troiano and Taylor Tibbetts also had three hits for Windham, and Troiano, Olivia Mora, Chloe Wilcox and Morang each scored twice.
For Massabesic, Sarah Howe had three RBI and a run scored on two hits, Kyra-Mei Cartwright had three hits with two runs scored and an RBI, and Grace Tutt had four hits and a run scored.
NOBLE 11, BIDDEFORD 7: The Knights (3-1) scored 10 runs in the top of the fifth to erase a 6-1 deficit and beat the Tigers (1-3) in Biddeford.
Chantel Perreault and Olivia Whittaker each had two-run singles in a five-run fourth inning to give Biddeford a 6-1 lead. Kassidy Lessard started the Noble rally with a two-run double.
Raegan Kelly and Jordan Boucher added RBI doubles in the inning as the Spartans took an 11-6 lead.
Brook Davis hit a home run in the sixth for Biddeford.
WESTBROOK 12, SANFORD 6: Cam LaPierre and Elizabeth Richardson each had two RBI as the Blue Blazes (1-3) overcame a 6-5 deficit with seven runs in the fifth inning and beat the Spartans (0-5) in Westbrook.
Richardson rapped a two-run single and eventually scored as Westbrook strung together seven straight singles in the fifth. LaPierre capped the rally with a two-run triple.
SCARBOROUGH 11, SOUTH PORTLAND 0: Emily Jefferds hit a two-run single as part of a 10-run fifth inning as the Red Storm (4-0) cruised past the Red Riots (0-5) in Scarborough.
Lindsey Kelley and Lilly Volk each had an RBI double in the fifth for Scarborough, which took an 11-0 lead going into the sixth. Abbie Murrell picked up the win, allowing three hits and a walk while striking out nine over five innings.
Stephanie Aceto had two hits, including a double, for South Portland.
GREELY 14, LAKE REGION 2: Madison Rawnsley doubled, tripled and drove in four runs as the Rangers (1-4) beat the Lakers (0-4) in six innings in Cumberland.
Kelsey Currier had four hits and two RBI, while Taylor LaFlamme had two hits, including a double, for Greely. Currier also picked up the win, allowing two runs on four hits while striking out nine.
GORHAM 12, BONNY EAGLE 5: Michelle Rowe was 4 for 5 with a pair of RBI and the Rams (3-1) scored four runs in the sixth inning to pull away from the Scots (0-4) at Standish.
Kiana Tracey had three hits, including a solo home run in the first inning, for Gorham, while Emma Shields added three singles. Grace McGouldrick hit a two-run homer during the sixth-inning rally.
Nell Spencer had a pair of doubles for Bonny Eagle, while Sarah Champagne and Sadie Denico each added a pair of hits.
PORTLAND 9, THORNTON ACADEMY 1: Jess Brown struck out 12 while limiting the Trojans (3-2) to four hits, leading Portland (5-0) to a win in Saco.
Kit Rosmus had four hits, including a two-run homer, and finished with three RBI and two runs scored for Portland.
Kaitlin Perreault homered for Thornton Academy.
YARMOUTH 5, POLAND 3: Sophia McGrath hit an RBI double during a three-run third inning and the Clippers (3-0) held on to beat the Knights (4-2) in Yarmouth.
Sydney St. Pierre led off the third with a single and scored on McGrath’s hit. McGrath ended up scoring on the play on a throwing error to give Yarmouth a 5-2 lead.
Ceanne Lyon added two hits for the Clippers and picked up the win on the mound, allowing three runs on four hits while striking out seven in a complete game.
Morgan Brosseau and Shelby Lafrinea each doubled for Poland.
DEERING 19, CHEVERUS/NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 18: Taylor Kelly singled in the winning run as the Rams (1-2) scored six times in the bottom of the seventh to beat the Stangs (0-3) in Portland.
Cheverus trailed 12-5 before scoring sixth times in the fifth and once in the sixth to tie it. The Stags added six runs in the seventh, including a three-run triple by Alexandra Hammond.
Sydney Giroux, Maddy Broda and Kaylee Helmick each hit RBI singles in the seventh as Deering rallied.

CAPE ELIZABETH 13, FREEPORT 7: Susannah Graham had three goals and three assists as the Capers (3-1) downed the Falcons (1-3) in Freeport.
Chloe Chapin added three goals and an assist for Cape Elizabeth, which led 9-4 at halftime.
Chloe Davidson had two goals and two assists for Freeport.
YORK 8, KENNEBUNK 5: Alexandra Lawlor scored five goals to lead the Wildcats (3-0) past the Rams (1-1) in York.
Cassandra Reinertson, Martha McCaddin and Emma Ford each added a goal and Julianna Kiklis had eight saves for York.
Hallie Schwartzman scored twice and Mallory Burchill made three saves for Kennebunk.
MASSABESIC 15, PORTLAND 1: The Mustangs (3-0) led 10-0 at the half and defeated the Bulldogs (1-3) in Waterboro.
Nine players scored for Massabesic, led by Logan Champlin with three goals.
Morgan Kierstead scored for Portland.
Abby Krieckhaus had six saves for Portland, while Lydia Wasina made three saves for Massabesic.
