ACTORS WAIT THEIR TURN at Maine State Music Theatre’s Local Auditions last year.

In addition to the Local Auditions, Maine State Music Theatre Artistic Director Curt Dale Clark and other MSMT members will attend nationwide auditions throughout the remainder of the winter, scouting for professional talent as well as interns for their 2017 productions. The first stop will be the South Eastern Theatre Conference in Greensboro, North Carolina on March 1-5. Then its on to the United States Institute for Theatre Technology in Syracuse, NY on March 8-11. Clark and company will conclude their trip in New York City from March 14-25, where MSMT often recruits Broadway-level talent. This summer’s shows include “Always Patsy Cline,” “Guys and Dolls,” “Grease,” “Newsies” and a concert performance of “Tommy.”
