AUBURN — Alice “Rusty” Going Jackman, 88, of Auburn, previously of Kennebunk, died Feb. 9, 2017 at Clover Manor.
She was born on Sept. 15, 1928 to Derby and Marion Going. Rusty was a teacher at Rectory School in Pomfret, Connecticut as well as at Kennebunk High School, Kennebunk, Maine. She was a member of the Westbrook College Alumni Board of Directors.
Rusty enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and enjoyed teaching and working with her students.
She was predeceased by her husband, John “Skip” R. Jackman Jr., as well as her parents.
Survivors include a son, Richard D. Jackman and wife Becky of Painsville, Ohio; a daughter, Christine E. Davis (Jackman) and husband Herb of Auburn, Main; a brother Lindsay “Bud” Going and wife Alice of Aberdeen, North Carolina; a sister Beverly Morris and husband Frank of Sanford, Florida; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
There will be no services at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, Maine Chapter, 303 US Route One, Suite 2C, Scarborough, ME 04074 or Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice, 15 Strawberry Avenue, Lewiston, ME 04240.
