Patten Free Library’s Teen Library Council is now accepting submissions for its annual teen art show. Any student in grades seven through 12 residing in the library service area or attending schools in RSU 1 may participate. The Council welcomes original works in any medium.
“The annual Teen Art Show was one of the first projects of our Teen Library Council, and has been a great showcase for our young local artists for the last three years,” said to Patten’s outreach and instruction librarian, Roberta Jordan. “As is the case with our annual writing contest, it’s a great opportunity for local student to share their talents with a broader public.”
Submissions will be accepted until March 31; there will be an opening reception for the month-long show on Wednesday, April 5, at 4:30 p.m. in the Community Room.
For more information about the show or to inquire about submissions, contact Roberta Jordan at the library at (207) 443-5141, ext. 25.
