YARMOUGH — Aleksander Medenica scored 36 points Friday night as Yarmouth finished the regular season as the top-ranked team in Class B South with a 69-52 victory against Wells in a Western Maine Conference boys’ basketball game.

Yarmouth (16-2) led 30-26 at halftime, then outscored Wells 39-26 the rest of the way. Gibson Harnett added 14 points for the Clippers.

Cameren Cousins led the Warriors (13-5) with 21 points.

TRAIP ACADEMY 54, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 50: The Rangers (7-11) recovered from a 28-23 halftime deficit and defeated the Seagulls (8-10) at Old Orchard Beach.

Shane MacNeill led Traip with 14 points. Angelo Succi added 13, nine in the third quarter.

Kyle Allen scored 14 points for Old Orchard. Ian Regan and Cody Blanchette each added 10.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 53, POLAND 51: John Martin scored a game-high 19 points and hit four 3-pointers, including a go-ahead 3-pointer with 40 seconds left to lift the Patriots (9-9) over the Raiders (6-12) at Poland.

Martin’s 3-pointer gave the Patriots a 50-47 lead. Josiah Rottari added 13 points and John Villaneuva scored 12 for Gray-New Gloucester, which led 36-32 through three quarters.

Caleb Hodgkin scored 17 points and Kurtis Leighton added 15 to lead Poland. Nathaniel Chouinard chipped in with 13, hitting three 3s.

A.R. GOULD 82, PINE TREE ACADEMY 48: Tyrese Collins and Gage Barton each scored 18 points for the Bears (15-3), who took a 42-25 halftime lead and beat the Breakers (7-11) at Freeport.

Barton grabbed 16 rebounds and Isaak Aliyow added 14 points for A.R. Gould. Najee Jean-Louis scored a game-high 20 points for the Breakers. Alex Schlisner added 17.

SANFORD 68, MASSABESIC 41: Brad Bouchard and Mike Veino combined for 37 points to lead the Spartans (8-10) over the Mustangs (2-16) at Sanford.

Ethan Belanger added 16 points for Sanford, which opened a 28-6 halftime lead.

Isaac DesVergnes led the Mustangs with 14 points.

Sanford, the third seed, will take on sixth-ranked Gorham in the quarterfinals of the Class AA South tournament.

CAPE ELIZABETH 51, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 38: Marshall Peterson scored 17 of his game-high 20 points in the first half as the Capers (11-7) opened a 29-20 lead and defeated the Raiders (8-10) at Cape Elizabeth.

Jacob Allen finished with 10 points for Cape Elizabeth.

Oscar Saunders had 15 points to lead Fryeburg Academy.

SCARBOROUGH 50, BONNY EAGLE 42: The Red Storm (6-12) hit 16 of 22 free throws in the fourth quarter, using a 27-12 run to rally past the Scots (6-12) at Standish.

Nick Fiorillo and Emmett Peoples each had 12 points, Reece Lagerquist contributed 11 and Morgan Pratt put in 10 for Scarborough.

WINDHAM 55, GORHAM 49: Nick Curtis scored a team-high 19 points, hitting 11 of 13 from the foul line as the Eagles (12-6) pulled away from the Rams (4-14) at Windham.

Dierhow Bol and Mike Gilman each added eight points for Windham, which outscored Gorham 16-10 in the second quarter to take a 30-24 halftime lead. Bol grabbed eight rebounds.

THORNTON ACADEMY 70, BIDDEFORD 52: The Golden Trojans (16-2) took 32-20 halftime lead and defeated the Tigers (8-10) at Saco.

Evan Christensen led Thornton with 19 points. Austin Boudreau added 18 and David Keohan 16.

SOUTH PORTLAND 54, DEERING 31: Moses Oreste and Ruay Bol combined for 20 points to lead the Red Riots (15-3) over the Rams (12-6) at South Portland.

Cameron Deiley started the game with two 3-pointers and a 6-0 lead for South Portland, which led 16-3 after the first quarter and 34-10 at the half.

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 66, ST. DOMINIC 24: Chandler Waldron scored 20 points to lead the Panthers (13-5) over the Saints (0-18) at Auburn.

Jake Malcom added 14 points for NYA, which led 38-9 at halftime.

WAYNFLETE 61, SACOPEE VALLEY 41: Alex Saade scored 15 points for the Flyers (13-5), who took a 24-13 lead in the first quarter and pulled away from the Hawks (3-15) at South Hiram.

Waynflete stretched its lead to 19 at halftime.
