
She was born in Biddeford, June 27, 1920, a daughter of Esdras and Josephine (Cloutier) Valliere and was educated at St. Andre’s School.
On Sept. 2, 1944, she married Joseph G. Poulin at St. Joseph Church.
Bernadette had been employed as a quality assurance inspector in the Blanket Division of Pepperell Mfg. Co. She retired in 1982.
She had been a member of St. Andre Church for most of her life. She was a longtime member of the Daughters of Isabella and enjoyed dining out, meeting friends and shopping.
Bernadette was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Poulin in 1998, by five siblings and by a granddaughter, Melissa Poulin in 1990.
Surviving are her son, Richard Poulin and his wife Claire of Gorham; grandchildren, :Brandon Poulin and his wife Kristin of Buxton, Timothy “T.J.” Poulin and his wife Rachelle of Scarborough; great- grandchildren, Adlie and Logan of Buxton; a brother, Maurice Valliere of Biddeford; and a sister, Madeleine Goulet of Saco.
Visiting Hours will be 3 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 3, 2017 at Hope Memorial Chapel 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005. A Funeral Service will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home Burial will be on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford. Arrangements are by Hope Memorial Chapel.
