
She was born in Biddeford on Nov. 24, 1941, a daughter of Edmond and Aurore (Binette) Labarre. She was educated in Saco at Notre Dame de Lourdes School and graduated from St. Andre’s High School.
After high school, Gloria was the assistant terminal manager of Holmes Transportation in South Portland for 15 years.
On May 16, 1970, Gloria married her husband Richard. She took great pride in making a warm and welcoming home for all who entered and caring for her two children, Michelle and Kevin.
After her children were grown, she worked for Atlantic Pest Solutions for 13 years until retirement.
Gloria enjoyed her flower garden. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her family, brother and sister and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Richard R. DesRoberts; her daughter, Michelle DiSotto and her husband Chris and their children Jack and Gianna; and her son Kevin DesRoberts and his wife Amy and their children Lilly, Lindsay and Lucy. She is also survived by: her brother, Rev. Renald Labarre; her sister, Reinette Maxson; nephew, John Maxson and his wife, Rosemarie, and their daughter, Jessica. She leaves behind many friends who she considered family.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 27, 2017, at St. Joseph Church in Biddeford. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford.
