There are a couple of significant issues with Dick Woodbury’s Jan. 17 Maine Voices on ranked-choice voting. I am sure that he overlooked them in his column.

Those issues are the Maine Supreme Judicial Court and possibly the U.S. Supreme Court. The Maine Legislature and secretary of state could “do their jobs,” as he urges, but it might not matter.
