
She was born on Oct. 12, 1926 to Arthur and Alberta (Descoteau) Jacques in Biddeford. She graduated from St. Joseph High School.
On Jan. 7, 1950, she married Gerard R. Lemieux in St. Joseph Church in Biddeford. They spent 57 years together until his death on June 1, 2007.
She started working at the Pepperell Mills in Biddeford. In 1958, she moved to Lawrence, Massachusetts and began working at Raytheon Corp. until her retirement in 1986.
Jacqueline enjoyed quilting, reading, and loved music. She also wintered in Zephyrhills, Florida for many years with Gerard.
She is preceded in death by a daughter, Rachel Demerse; and her brother, Adrien Jacques.
Jacqueline is survived by four sons, Roger Lemieux of North Waterboro; Marc Lemieux of Derry, New Hampshire; Robert Lemieux of Wesley Chapel, Florida; and Steven Lemieux of Barnstead, New Hampshire; a daughter, Therese Hall of Dracut, Massachusetts; a nephew, Michael Jacques of Waterboro; a niece, Susan Noel of Waterboro; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visiting Hours will be 2 to 6 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 20, 2017 at Hope Memorial Chapel 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. on Saturday at St. Anne’s Chapel of St Joseph Church in Biddeford. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford.
