ARUNDEL — Following a lengthy illness, Beverly A. Gagne, 68, of Arundel died Sunday, Jan. 15, 2017 at Seal Rock Health Care, surrounded by her family, hand in hand with the love of her life.

Beverly was born June 1, 1948 in Biddeford; she was the daughter of Raymond and Olivine (Goulet) Tanguay.

On Feb. 11, 1967, at St. Andre’s Church in Biddeford, she married her soulmate Patrick Gagne. Together they shared 50 years of the truest love there is.

Educated locally, she had worked at Ames and Zayre department stores before operating Bev’s Beauty Salon from her home until illness forced her to retire.

Beverly enjoyed cooking, knitting, playing cards and bingo. She was known for her boisterous personality, generous heart and love of her family. Even in illness she exemplified strength and courage.

Beverly was predeceased by her parents, a brother, Richard, and infant twin children.

She is survived by Patrick Gagne, her loving husband of Arundel; four children Roland Gagne and his wife, Paula, of Standish, Deborah Lovely and her partner, Jason, of Waterboro; David Gagne of Augusta and Jamie Gagne and his wife, Lacey, of Lyman.

She is survived by five brothers, Raymond, Billy, David and Kevin Tanguay, along with Dan Michaud and three sisters, Diane, Marlene and Doreen Gilbert; 11 grandchildren, Derek and Kristen Gagne, William and Ashley Lester, Joshua Lovely, Jillian VanTassel, Karlie, Tyler and Morgan Gagne, Tristan Huot, Alicia Romney; and two great-grandchildren.

Visiting Hours will be 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017 at Hope Memorial Chapel 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005. A funeral service will follow at noon in the Hope Chapel.
