OLD ORCHARD BEACH — Old Orchard Beach jumped to an eight-point lead after the first quarter and held off Freeport to earn a 44-41 win in a girls’ basketball game Monday.

Samantha Donnell led the Seagulls (5-4) with 11 points. Tiffany Leclair scored 10 points, seven of which came in the fourth quarter. Brianna Plante added eight points and five steals.

Taylor Rinaldi led Freeport (8-3) with 18 points

EDWARD LITTLE 64, MT. ARARAT 31: Jordyn Reynolds had 10 of her 16 points in the second quarter as the Red Eddies (10-2) broke the game open with a 23-7 run and beat the Eagles (2-9) in Auburn.

Reynolds grabbed a game-high nine boards for Edwards Little. Grace Fontaine added 16 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, and Piper Norcross contributed 14 points and Jade Perry added 11.

Nikki Bradstreet led Mt. Ararat with nine points.

SCARBOROUGH 50, WESTBROOK 32: Sophie Glidden had all the Red Storm’s points in the first quarter as they opened a 13-4 lead and handled the Blue Blazes (3-8) at Westbrook.

Glidden finished with a game-high 21 points, including three 3-pointers, for Scarborough (9-1).

Julie Martel led Westbrook with 15 points, and Mikayla VanZandt tossed in nine points and grabbed 12 rebounds.

FALMOUTH 41, KENNEBUNK 31: Junior guard Grace Soucy scored 10 points as the Yachtsmen (6-6) beat the Rams (6-6) at Falmouth.

Falmouth went on a 10-0 run in the second to pull away. Abigail Ryan added nine points for the Yachtsmen.

Marran Oakman scored 13 points for Kennebunk.

GREELY 55, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 37: Brooke Obar had seven of her 13 points in the second quarter as the Rangers (10-1) used a 17-9 run and handled the Raiders (6-5) in Fryeburg.

Anna DeWolfe had a game-high 20 points for Greely, and Isabel Porter added 12 points, all from behind the 3-point arc.

Nicole Bennett and Mackenzie Buzzell each had 10 points for Fryeburg.

SOUTH PORTLAND 65, PORTLAND 28: Maggie Whitmore scored 16 of her 22 points in the first half as the Red Riots (8-2) took a 36-10 halftime lead and cruised past the Bulldogs (0-11) in South Portland.

Whitmore also grabbed seven rebounds, and Meghan Graff added 19 points, four assists and three steals.

Taylor Sargent scored nine points for Portland.

MASSABESIC 48, BIDDEFORD 24: Kenzy Ouellette had 13 of her game-high 21 points in the second half as the Mustangs (1-10) beat the Tigers (1-10) at Biddeford.

Emily Stinson had eight points for Massabesic.

Grace Martin had 13 points to lead Biddeford.

GORHAM 70, MAINE GIRLS’ ACADEMY 42: Mackenzie Holmes scored 18 points and Emily Esposito had 14 as the Rams (11-0) opened a 42-20 halftime lead over the Maine Girls’ Academy (4-7) in Gorham.

Holmes finished with 24 points and Esposito had 16. Kaylea Lundin added 11 for Gorham.

Madison Legassey had 19 points and Jill Joyce added 10 for the Lions.

YORK 42, CAPE ELIZABETH 15: Nina Howe scored all nine of her points in the first half as the Wildcats (9-3) opened a 28-8 lead over the Capers (0-10) in York.

Reilly Smedley had 11 points for York.

Brooke Harvey’s nine points led the Capers.

FOREST HILLS 41, GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 22: Patricia Lessard and Caitlin Logston scored 13 points each to lead the Tigers (6-5) over the Lions (1-7) in South Portland.

Alexandra Lessard added nine points for Forest Hills.

Aubrey Viekman led Greater Portland Christian with 11 points.

GREELY 8, CAPE ELIZABETH/WAYNFLETE/SOUTH PORTLAND 1: Emilee McGillicuddy and Sarah Johnson each had two goals and an assist as the Rangers (11-1) beat Cape Elizabeth (5-7) in Falmouth.

Courtney Sullivan added a goal and an assist for Greely. Kylie Rogers, Jayme Morrison and Ellie Schad each added a goal. Nica Todd had nine saves.

Kate Ginder scored and Abby Joy made 42 saves for the Capers.
