
She was born April 16, 1928 in Biddeford, the daughter of Arthur and Marguerite (Masse) Laverriere and was educated at St. Joseph School.
On Aug. 30, 1947, she married Joseph Robert Paquette at St. Joseph Church in Biddeford.
Marguerite had been employed at local grocery stores, including Sneider’s and Shop & Save, retiring in 1990. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, walking and cycling, and crocheting items for the Ross Center.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Joseph Robert Paquette, Oct. 13, 1992 and her son, Philip A. Paquette, Nov. 5, 2005; also preceding her in death were a sister, Jacqueline Remillard and a brother, Norman Laverriere.
Surviving are two sons, Guy R. Paquette and his wife, Susanne, of Biddeford and David R. Paquette and his wife, Deborah, of Biddeford; two brothers, Benoit Laverriere of West Haven, Connecticut and Philip Laverriere and his wife, Cecile, of Biddeford; six grandchildren, 12-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017, beginning at 9 a.m. at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. in the West Chapel of the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford.
