AN OPEN MIC, followed by a community sing-a-long on New Year’s Day from noon to 3 p.m. at Savory Maine in Damariscotta. The event, celebrating its 4th year, is organized by musicians Sylvia Tavares and John Couch. It is free and open to the public. Savory Maine will provide free coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and cookies. Soup, chowder and quiche will be available to purchase. Savory Maine is located at 11 Water St., Damariscotta.
