TOPSHAM

This month’s exhibit in the Crooker Gallery and Highlands Room at Topsham Public Library features handmade prints from David Morgan of the Green Lion Gallery. The exhibit will show through Jan. 7, and Morgan will give an artist’s talk at the library Jan. 7 at 11 a.m. This event is open to the public, and all prints exhibited at the library are available for purchase at the Green Lion Gallery, located at 104 Front St. in Bath.

Morgan is a woodcut printmaker who was originally a woodworker. He moved to Maine from New Mexico and established the Green Lion Gallery, a working print studio and gallery where you can see artists work as well as view their completed prints. Each piece is printed individually and none of the works are photographically or mechanically reproduced.

Also on exhibit this month in the main section of the library are woodcarvings by Andy Rice, Tony Lacroix, Myrtle P. Lacroix, Ralph Palmer, Richard Nickerson and Wilma Sarna.

The Topsham Public Library is located at 25 Foreside Road in Topsham. For more information, call Topsham Public Library at (207) 725-1727 or visit the library website. topshamlibrary.org.
