KENNEBUNK — Cameron Lovejoy had 16 points to lead five players in double figures Tuesday night as Kennebunk topped Gray-New Gloucester 75-71 in boys’ basketball.

Seven players hit 3-pointers for Kennebunk (1-1), which went 13 for 35 from behind the arc.

Hunter Colby had a game-high 22 points for Gray-New Gloucester (0-2), and John Martin had 21 points, including four baskets from 3-point range.

Joseph Bush Jr. had 14 points for the Rams, Zack Sullivan had 13 points, Max Murray had in 11 and Kyle Pasieniuk 10.

PORTLAND 71, BONNY EAGLE 45: Terion Moss had 20 points and five assists to lead the Bulldogs (2-0) over the Scots (1-1) in Portland.

The Bulldogs led 33-22 at the half, and opened up their lead in the third quarter, posting a 22-9 advantage in the quarter.

Charles Lyall added 12 points, seven rebounds and two blocks for the Bulldogs.

Casey Maturo led the Scots with 11 points.

CHEVERUS 64, WINDHAM 59: Jesse Matthews had 18 points and grabbed 10 boards to lead a balanced attack as the Stags (3-0) defeated the Eagles (0-2) at Portland.

Cheverus had a 15-point halftime lead, 39-24, but Windham rallied in the second half, paced by Mike Gilman, who scored all of his 17 points in the second half, cutting the Stags’ lead to a point with 57 seconds to play in regulation.

The Stags hit 4 of 6 free throws in the final seconds to hold on for the victory.

Jack Casale had 16 points and dished out seven assists for Cheverus.

DEERING 79, NOBLE 33: Junior Butera scored a game-high 13 points and Raffaele Salamone had 12 points and 11 rebounds as the Rams (2-0) cruised to a win over the Knights (0-2) in Portland.

Brandon Davis and Britton Study each scored nine points for Noble.

SOUTH PORTLAND 59, WESTBROOK 50: Ruay Bol scored 11 of his 16 points in the third quarter as the Red Riots (1-1) pulled away from the Blue Blazes (0-1) in Westbrook.

Riley Hasson and Deandre White each added nine points for South Portland, which outscored Westbrook 22-8 in the third. Zacari Manoogian scored a game-high 19 points for the Blue Blazes, and Nemieceo Loureiro added 11.

WELLS 84, ST. DOMINIC 17: The Warriors (2-0) jumped to a 21-3 lead after one quarter and cruised past the visiting Saints (0-2) at Wells.

Riley Dempsey had 22 points to pace Wells.

TRAIP ACADEMY 57, SACOPEE VALLEY 43: Dalen Hubbard and Angelo Succi each scored 13 points and the Rangers (2-0) used a 24-9 advantage in the third to get by the Hawks (0-2) in Hiram.

Alex Mudgett scored a game-high 18 points, hitting three 3-pointers for Sacopee Valley.

MADISON 58, BOOTHBAY 40: Mitchell Jarvais and Sean Whalen each scored 14 points as the Bulldogs (2-0) beat the Seahawks (1-1) in Madison.

Kyle Ames hit five 3-pointers on his way to a game-high 17 points for Boothbay.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 62, POLAND 44: The Raiders (1-1) opened the game with a 17-0 run and cruised past the Knights (1-1) at Fryeburg.

Oscar Saunders had 15 points to lead Fryeburg Academy, Ryan Hewes chipped with 12 points and Francesco Gianefelice tossed in 11 points.

Caleb Hodgkin led Poland with 18 points.

CONY 81, CAMDEN HILLS 58: Jordan Roddy scored 22 points to lift the Rams to the win in Rockport.

Roddy also had six steals. James Hunt had 11 rebounds for Cony (2-0) and Taylor Heath and Simon McCormick each had nine points.

Camden Hills (1-1) was led by Daniel Peabody with 16 points.

RICHMOND 60, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 53: The Bobcats (3-0) rallied in the second half to defeat the Seagulls (1-1) in Richmond.

Trailing 29-24 at halftime, the Bobcats outscored the Seagulls 36-24 in the second half. Cody Tribbet led Richmond with 17 points, and Matt Rines added 14.

Ian Regan scored a game-high 19 points for the Seagulls.

WAYNFLETE 55, PORTLAND 30: Oscar Hussein scored a game-high 15 points and dished out six assists to lead the Flyers (2-0) over the Falcons (0-2) in Portland.

Yai Deng added 14 points and pulled down seven rebounds for Freeport.

Matthew Nielsen led the Falcons with six points.

YARMOUTH 75, LAKE REGION 55: Aleksander Medenica had 14 of his 18 points in the first half as the Clippers (2-0) got by the Lakers (0-2) at Naples.

Gibson Harnett had 13 points for Yarmouth, Nolan Hagerty tossed in 10 points.

Tyler Walker led all scorers for Lake Region with 19 points and Mark Mayo added 13.

SEACOAST CHRISTIAN 43, GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 40: Caleb La Croix had eight of his game-high 26 points in the third quarter as the Guardians (1-1) took a 30-26 lead after three quarters and held off the Lions (1-1) at South Berwick.

Jet Archer and Marlon Bernardo each added seven points for Seacoast Christian.

Jeremy Daigneault had 11 points, including three 3-pointers, to lead Greater Portland Christian, and Jeremiah Hammond and Ethan Spaulding each tossed in nine points.

BRUNSWICK 59, MT. ARARAT 37: The Dragons (2-0) led 32-16 at the half and easily defeated the Eagles (1-1) in Topsham.

Nathan Benoit scored 14 of his game-high 19 points in the first half for Brunswick. Corban Teel added 18 points and six rebounds for the Dragons.

MORSE 71, LEAVITT 60: Dakota Freeman finished with 25 points and Parker Onorato and Tait Nygaard added 17 and 10 points to lead the Shipbuilders (1-1) over the Hornets (0-2) at Bath.

Nick Angello paced Leavitt with 14 points and Cole Morin and Jack Sylvester each added 13.

HOCKEY

GARDINER 6, BRUNSWICK 3: The Tigers scored four first-period goals, three in a span of 29 seconds, to cruise to a win over the Dragons (1-1) in Brunswick.

Jared Hummer gave Brunswick a 1-0 lead 6:32 into the first with a power-play goal. Joseph Clark tied the game for the Tigers (2-0) 17 seconds later.

Alic Shorey, Cameron Bourassa and Connor Manter each added goals from the 11:02 mark of the first to the 11:31 mark to take a 4-1 lead. Jacob Folsom and Cameron Bigelow each added second-period goals for Gardiner. Michael Deveaux had two assists and scored unassisted early in the second for Brunswick.

YARMOUTH 8, MARANACOOK/WINTHROP 0: Cooper May had three goals and a pair of assists for the Clippers (1-0-1) in their win over Maranacook/Winthrop (0-2-0) at Kent’s Hill.
