Celine was born in St. Philippe de Neri, Quebec on May 17, 1935, a daughter of Joseph and Juliette (Paradis) Chamberland. After graduating high School, Celine went on to earn her nursing degree and worked as a registered nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Nashua, New Hampshire. In 1960, Celine married Roger T. O’Neil. Together they owned and operated Home Fashions and locally they owned and operated Cannon Sheets and Towels in Wells.
Celine loved doting on her children and grandchildren. She was a fantastic cook and loved hosting holiday meals with her family. She was known for her generosity and enjoyed knitting and Bingo. She also enjoyed a good political discussion.
Celine is lovingly remembered by: her husband, Roger; her daughter, Jill Marie O’Neil of Sanford; her sons, Mark J. O’Neil and his wife, Cheryl, of Windham, New Hampshire, and Michael F. O’Neil of Portsmouth, New Hampshire; her ex-daughter-in-law, Theresa McGuinness, whom Celine loved like a daughter; her grandchildren, Mikala, Kelsey, Courtney and Taylor; her cousins, Dorothy and Richard Sletterink of Nashua, New Hampshire; and many nieces and nephews in the Biddeford-Saco area.
