LISBON FALLS — On Sept. 17, runners and walkers participated in the first Neighbors Helping Neighbors 5K Run/Walk — a fundraiser to benefit the Lisbon Area Christian Outreach Food Bank.
Trudy Duval, spokesperson for the Lisbon United Methodist Church event-planning team, reported that more than $2,000 had been received and, with the success of this first-time event, they plan to hold it again next year on Sat., Sept. 16.
The LUMC event-planning team expresses sincerest thanks to the participants and the local businesses who generously donated cash or goods to support the event.
