BRUNSWICK — Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bath/Brunswick will hold a big awards party to celebrate 35 years of serving children. The celebration takes place on Thursday, Nov. 10, from 6-8 p.m., at the Brunswick Hotel and Tavern at 4 Noble St. in Brunswick.
Basketball legend Dave Cowens will be the keynote speaker and the host will be WCSH 6’s Johnny Mehler.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bath/Brunswick will honor two local business supporters: Norway Savings Bank will receive the President’s Award for its long-term commitment to programs, and General Dynamics, Bath Iron Works and their employees will be honored for their outstanding fundraising support of Bowl for Kid’s Sake. Bill Babbin will receive the Big of the Year award for his nine years of mentoring.
Tickets are $50 per person. Sponsorships are also available. All funds raised will support one-to-one mentoring programs to empower youth.
