HOLIDAY, Fla. — Robert “Bobby” W. Wakefield Sr., 75, of Holiday, Florida, formerly of Lebanon, Maine, our beloved husband and father, left us to the Lord’s hands “Safely Home” on Aug. 11, 2016.

Robert was born on Dec. 14, 1940, the son of Clarence R. and Alice E. (Gammon) Wakefield and was raised in Waterboro.

He is survived by: his beloved wife, Marsha; his two daughters, Teresa Nugent and her husband Kerry and Dorothy St. Hilaire and her husband Randy; three sons, Robert Wakefield Jr. and his wife Lynn, James Wakefield and his wife Tammy and George Wakefield and his wife Charlene; two stepsons, Scott Farr and Todd Farr; one brother, Kenneth “Kenny” Wakefield and his wife Waunetta; one sister, Barbara “Puggy” Paul and her husband Donald; sisters-in-law, Frances and Jeanne Wakefield; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence R. Wakefield and Alice E. (Gammon) Wakefield and two brothers, Clayton (Sonny Pat) Wakefield and Richard (Buddy) Wakefield.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 3, 2016, at 1 p.m. at the Wakefield Cemetery (South Waterboro Cemetery) on Route 5 (across from the Wakefield Road) in Waterboro. There will be a celebration of Bobby’s life at the Daney’s home immediately following the service. Since parking is limited on Route 5 please feel free to park at the Daney home and walk or carpool to the cemetery. Arrangements are by Dobies Funeral Home, Holiday, Fla., 727-937-7555.
