A man and woman have been identified as “people of interest” in an investigation into a reported theft of cash from an artist Saturday at Art in the Park in South Portland.

The report was filed with the police department around 4:15 p.m. Aug. 13, after the 37th annual art show and sale in Mill Creek Park, Lt. Frank Clark said Monday morning. Clark would not disclose how much money was believed to have been stolen, or identify the victim.
