AUGUSTA — City police arrested six people, five of them on drug charges, following a report of an incident on Washington Street Monday afternoon.

Shawn Dallas, 24, of New York City, was arrested on a warrant as well as charges of warrant, aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs and unlawful possession of scheduled drugs, police said.

Lloyd Bowden, 57, who is listed as a transient, was arrested on a warrant.

The four other people are each charged with aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs and unlawful possession of scheduled drugs: Melissa Clark, 31, and Shaun Campbell, 34, both of Augusta; Alyssa Theriault, 20, of Gardiner; and Elizah Cherry, 31, of Bonita Springs, Florida.

Police went to an apartment at 75 Washington St. just after 4 p.m. Monday following a report of disorderly conduct, according to a press release from Augusta Police Deputy Chief Jared Mills,

“A subsequent search of the residence by Officer Todd Nyberg yielded 2 ½ grams of cocaine (packaged for individual sale) and 10 grams of heroin (also packaged for sale),” Mills said in the release.

Police provided mugshots of Theriault, Bowden and Dallas, but not Clark, Campbell and Cherry.

The arrests occurred at the same apartment in which Joseph Marceau was beaten to death in November. Four people were charged in connection with that high-profile case. Damik Davis, 26, of New York, and Sean McQuade, 45 of Augusta, have pleaded not guilty to murder. Zina Marie Fritze, 27, of Augusta, also pleaded not guilty to murder, though she died after she was found unresponsive and hanging from a bed sheet in her cell at the Kennebec County jail in January. In July, the fourth suspect, Aubrey Armstrong, was arrested in Queens, New York, on a fugitive from justice warrant in Queens. He’s next due in court on Oct. 3 in New York state.
