Two people were killed and another injured in a motor vehicle crash early Saturday morning in the Piscataquis County town of Parkman.
Investigators said alcohol and speed were factors in the crash, WCSH-TV reported.
Dispatcher Dan Lemik at the Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Office said the single-vehicle crash happened about 12:45 a.m. on North Dexter Road in Parkman.
The car had three occupants at the time of the crash. Two were pronounced dead, and the third was airlifted to an area hospital.
The investigation is continuing, Lemik said Saturday afternoon.
The names of the people involved in the crash and the type of motor vehicle involved were unavailable Saturday night.
