As we watched the Democratic convention, am I the only one who noticed that the organizers must have seen Hillary Clinton as the second coming of the Messiah? They even opened the convention with a stirring rendition of “Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord.”
Many of the speakers demonized her opponent. These last couple days, we literally saw a transfiguration of the Hillary we thought we knew.
The third night was the most stirring yet, including an anointing by the president. I recalled that, “On the third day he rose again.” Later – in Hillary’s case, the fourth night – he appeared before his disciples.
Am I the only one who saw this? Or was this just the latest attempt to fashion a silk purse from a sow’s ear?
