PHIPPSBURG
The Bath Municipal Band, under the direction of conductor Kathy Downing, will present their annual Fort Popham Concert on Aug. 3 at 6:45 p.m. The Concert will take place on the grassy area within the fort, providing a unique outdoor experience and acoustics.
Audience members are encouraged to bring their own blankets or chairs for seating at the event. Seventy five people of all ages enjoyed the concert last year, including children. Fort Popham is in the village of Popham Beach and can be reached by following Route 209 past the state park. The fort is located at the end.
The Concert is free but the Popham Beach Improvement Association asks for donations to help cover the cost of the event. For more information, call (207) 389- 1631.
