Bath’s second 3rd Friday Art Walk of the season will take place Friday from 4-7 p.m. With more than 30 artists in street-level and upper-level studios, the public will get to explore Bath’s award-winning downtown while meeting local artists.

Many art destinations can be found in Downtown Bath, but there are also some galleries and studios on the second and third floors of buildings — Green Lion Gallery & Tom Paiement Studio, for example.

A growing Art Walk destination is in the north end of town with seven artists at 7 Park Street Studios, Wayne Robbins’ Studio & Gallery on High Street and Claudette Gamache Studio and Gallery on Front Street. All venues can be found on the Art Walk map, available all around town or online at visitbath.com.

The July Art Walk continues to feature en plein air artists practicing their craft in some of Bath’s most scenic locations; find them at The Chocolate Church Arts’ Center, on Elm Street Plaza and at The Mulberry House B&B. New to Art Walk this month is Sagadahoc Preservation’s exhibit “Spires of Bath’s Skyline: Past and Present.” Returning again is the Trolley Tour, making stops at each studio along its route with a trolley guide to provide information about each artist as well as tidbits of Bath History.

Music echoes through Bath during Art Walk with live performances every month at the corner of Front and Centre streets. July’s featured musician will be Truth About Daisies and Liam Swift. Melodies can also be heard at other artist locations including 7 Park Street Studios and the Patten Free Library. Following Art Walk at the Gazebo in Library Park there will be a concert by Cul de Sax at 7 p.m.

Bath Art Walk is produced by Main Street Bath, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting Downtown Bath. For more information on the Bath Art Walk and Main Street Bath go to visitbath.com
