Prayer
Someone once said that “Prayer gives God the permission to do what he has been longing to do all along.” It is through our prayers that God accomplishes the things he wants to see happen in our lives. But God does not force his will on us. God gives us free will. We can remain as we are or we can offer God an opportunity to shape us and recreate us, much like the sculptor chips away at a piece of marble to find the treasure that lies within, or an artist lays color on canvas. The work is never finished in this life but goes on until death. God invites us into relationship with him and through that relationship we learn what God has in mind for us. Prayer is not complicated. Just find a quiet place to sit, and in a spirit of surrender simply say, “Here I am Lord, here I am” And God will do the rest.
